Shaquille O'Neal named honorary FBI special agent

Shaquille O'Neal has been named an honorary FBI special agent by Director Kash Patel. The recognition took place during the graduation ceremony for the 299th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

O'Neal was honored alongside 265 law enforcement officials from across the United States. Director Patel described the session as ‘historic,’ noting that O'Neal is a significant supporter of law enforcement. The ceremony also marked the first time an academy session included two active FBI special agents representing Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

The honor builds on O'Neal's long-standing history with law enforcement. His previous experience includes serving as a reserve officer with the Los Angeles Port Police and the Miami Beach Police Department, as well as being named an honorary U.S. Deputy Marshal in 2005.
