Shaquille O'Neal named honorary FBI Special Agent

Shaquille O'Neal has been named an honorary FBI Special Agent. The distinction was presented by FBI Director Kash Patel during the graduation ceremony for the FBI National Academy’s Session 299 in Quantico, Virginia.

O'Neal, a Hall of Fame NBA player, was recognized alongside 265 law enforcement professionals. The honorary title highlights O'Neal's long-standing interest in and involvement with law enforcement. His history includes serving as a reserve officer for the Los Angeles Port Police and the Miami Beach Police Department, as well as holding roles with the Doral Police Department in Florida and the Henry County Police Department in Georgia.

During the ceremony, O'Neal maintained his signature sense of humor, jokingly telling the audience to ‘arrest Charles Barkley’ when concluding his remarks. Patel described O'Neal as one of the country's most significant supporters of law enforcement.
