Sharjah Animation and Comics Conference to expand this October

The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has announced that the fourth edition of the Sharjah Animation and Comics Conference (SACC) will take place from October 22 to 25 at Aljada, Sharjah.

The conference is undergoing a significant expansion to encompass the broader field of visual storytelling. By uniting animation and comics on a single platform, the event aims to facilitate collaboration between creators, publishers, and producers from both the Arab region and the international community. The expanded scope will now include participation from writers and illustrators alongside traditional animators and producers.

A new initiative, the Animation and Comics Market, will be introduced to strengthen professional connections and industry partnerships. Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, CEO of the SBA, stated that the goal is to create an ecosystem that connects regional creativity with production and market expertise, helping creators turn cultural stories into global projects.
