Sharjah Deputy Ruler inaugurates orphanage and housing project in Philippines

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, has inaugurated the Dar Al Rahma Orphanage and broken ground on the Al Reeh Al Mursala Village in Zamboanga del Sur, Mindanao.

The Dar Al Rahma Orphanage is designed to house 50 children and includes classrooms, a computer laboratory, a restaurant, and an electric-powered well for clean water. The facility also features commercial shops to generate steady income and a sewing institute where mothers receive training to support their households.

The Al Reeh Al Mursala Village is a housing project intended for 60 low-income families. Both initiatives are joint undertakings of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority and Sharjah Charity International, funded by donations from the ‘Al Reeh Al Mursala’ program broadcast on Sharjah TV and Sharjah Radio. Sheikh Al Qasimi emphasized that such integrated charitable projects aim to provide stability and dignity, helping underprivileged communities become educated and productive.
