Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth announces 2026 dates

The 13th edition of the Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth has announced its schedule, set to run from October 25 to November 1, 2026. Organized by Foundation Fan, the event will take place at City Centre Al Zahia and House of Wisdom in Sharjah.

Italy has been named the guest of honor for this edition, aiming to showcase the nation's rich cinematic and cultural heritage to young audiences. The festival intends to facilitate creative exchange between the United Arab Emirates, Italy, and the international film community through a selection of international and Arabic films, interactive experiences, and opportunities to engage with filmmakers.

Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director of the festival, noted that the event reflects Sharjah's commitment to investing in youth by providing them with tools for knowledge, creativity, and self-expression through the medium of cinema.
