Sharjah murder: Indian man's dismembered body found in car
The murder of Alwin Prakash Kunder, an Indian national from Udupi, Karnataka, has been discovered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Kunder, who had worked at Sharjah Airport for approximately 14 to 20 years, was reportedly killed in July. His remains were discovered in the boot of a car parked on a road leading toward Oman, dismembered into nine pieces and packed into two bags.
The investigation follows a period of silence from Kunder that began around July 20. His brother, Anil Prashanth Kunder, noted unusual behavior when a text message was sent from Alwin's phone instead of his customary voice messages. While his employer and a building watchman initially suggested he had returned to India, passport records indicated he remained in the UAE.
Kunder's wife, Tina, a schoolteacher, and their teenage son are currently missing and untraceable. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the killing and the whereabouts of the family. CCTV footage reportedly shows a woman and two men leaving the building where the victim lived, though their identities and connection to the crime have not been confirmed.
