Sharjah Ruler announces Khorfakkan administrative division plan

Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, has announced that planning for a new administrative division for the city of Khorfakkan is complete. The specific details of the plan are expected to be released soon.

In addition to the administrative restructuring, the Ruler revealed that a study is currently being conducted for a development project on Al Aween Mountain. The project involves leveling the mountain's summit to create a residential area designed to accommodate a large population.

During a broadcast on the ‘Direct Line’ programme, the Ruler emphasized the importance of naming new areas with positive symbolism. He noted that the new planning for Khorfakkan follows similar urban planning models previously implemented in the city of Kalba.
