Sharon Horgan stars in new HBO comedy ‘Youth’

Sharon Horgan stars in and creates the new HBO comedy series ‘Youth’, which explores the complexities of life for women in their 50s. Horgan plays Alex, a divorced London-based literary agent navigating the ‘sandwich generation’—juggling the needs of her aging parents and her teenage son, Ruari, as he prepares for university.

The series uses dark, ironic humor to address themes of aging, sexuality, and the search for identity after midlife. Alex faces various personal and professional challenges, including navigating the dating pool and managing her career, while grappling with the feeling that time is running out. The cast includes Aran Murphy and Rupert Friend.
