Sharon Horgan’s HBO series ‘Youth’ continues weekly release schedule

Sharon Horgan’s new HBO comedy-drama series, ‘Youth’, continues its Sunday night broadcast schedule. The fifth episode, titled ‘The Holiday’, is set to air on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will also be available for streaming on HBO Max.

The eight-episode season follows Alex, a 50-year-old woman navigating the complexities of sex, love, and the ‘sandwich generation’ while caring for aging parents and an adult son. Horgan, who created and stars in the series, began developing the concept approximately six to seven years ago, drawing on personal reflections regarding life after divorce and entering one's 50s.

In recent comments, Horgan noted that while she has avoided using dating apps like Tinder since her 2019 divorce from Jeremy Rainbird, the series serves as an exploration of the freedom and fears associated with being an older person re-entering the dating world.
