Sharon Stone attributes teen pregnancy to lack of sex education
Actress Sharon Stone has attributed her teenage pregnancy to a significant lack of sexual education and awareness regarding contraception. During an appearance on the ‘IMO’ podcast, hosted by Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson, the 68-year-old actress shared details about her experience.
Stone noted that at age 17, she and her then-23-year-old boyfriend had virtually no information about birth control. She recalled that the pregnancy was only discovered after her boyfriend noticed her weight gain, which her family initially mistook for typical college weight changes.
In addition to discussing her personal history, Stone commented on broader reproductive health issues, criticizing the criminalization of pregnancy complications and advocating for better healthcare and education for women.
