Sharon Stone recounts unauthorized brain surgery and near-death experience
Actress Sharon Stone has shared details regarding a traumatic medical incident from 2001 during an appearance on the “Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown” podcast. Stone recalled waking up in a neurological intensive care unit following a subarachnoid hemorrhage and stroke, only to find she was being wheeled toward exploratory brain surgery.
Stone alleged that her ex-husband, Phil Bronstein, had signed consent forms for the procedure without her knowledge or permission. She described a confrontation with a doctor who insisted the surgery was authorized and claimed to be in contact with People magazine. Stone stated she ultimately fired the physician after being assisted by a head nurse.
In addition to the medical controversy, Stone discussed her near-death experience, describing a sensation of moving through bright white light and seeing deceased friends. She also recounted seeing five luminous orbs during her recovery, which she claimed communicated with her through a form of “digital language” resembling sequences of zeros and ones.
