Sharp launches AQUOS wish6 entry-level smartphone

Sharp has launched the AQUOS wish6, a durable entry-level smartphone, in Japan and Taiwan. Designed by miyake design, the device features a matte, non-slip texture and a three-piece structure with a metal frame to improve bend resistance by approximately 20% compared to previous models.

Technical specifications include a 6.6-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits for better outdoor visibility. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, and includes a 50-megapixel main camera. It retains practical features such as a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card expansion up to 2TB, and eSIM support.

Safety and durability are emphasized through MIL-STD-810H compliance, high-level waterproof and dustproof ratings (IPX5/8/9), and software features designed to detect suspicious calls or provide emergency alerts. In Taiwan, the device will be available through various telecommunications providers starting in October.
