Sharp launches Hydro Heroes program in Bekasi to empower mothers

PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia has launched the Sharp Hydro Heroes program in North Bekasi, West Java. This modern agriculture-based community empowerment initiative specifically targets young mothers to strengthen family economies and improve nutritional awareness for children.

Participants receive training in hydroponic farming techniques, harvest management, entrepreneurship, and digital marketing. The program also includes education on the importance of diverse diets and vegetable consumption to combat nutritional challenges.

The initiative addresses local health concerns, as 2024 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI) data indicates a stunting prevalence of 11.7% in Bekasi City. The program follows a previous iteration of Sharp Hydro Heroes held in Karawang in 2024.
