SharpLink allocates $200M in Ethereum to Lido for staking

SharpLink, a Nasdaq-listed company, is allocating $200 million of its Ethereum treasury to the Lido liquid staking protocol. Through this move, the company will receive wrapped staked ETH (wstETH), allowing it to earn staking rewards while maintaining liquidity.

The assets will be held under institutional custody by Anchorage Digital Bank, a federally chartered digital asset institution. By utilizing Lido rather than operating its own validators, SharpLink avoids the technical infrastructure requirements of direct staking while retaining the ability to use wstETH as collateral across various decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.

Lido currently manages approximately $16.5 billion in staked ETH, with its wstETH token integrated into more than 100 protocols. This transaction reflects a growing trend of public companies treating Ethereum as a productive treasury asset to generate yield.
