Sharr municipality official accused of involvement in Serbian election structures

The Vetëvendosje (VV) movement branch in Sharr has called for public clarification regarding the alleged involvement of a former municipal official in Serbian political activities. According to the party, documents indicate that Edin Kurt, a former assembly member of the Gorani Unique Party (JGP) and former member of the Committee for Communities and Coexistence Security (KKSB) in Sharr, has been appointed as a commissioner for Aleksandar Vučić’s Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) for the upcoming elections in Serbia.

VV officials, including MP Filiz Mustafa and parliamentary group leader Arbërie Nagavci, have raised concerns regarding the mobilization of citizens for Serbian elections. They questioned the use of local resources and transport for activities serving Serbian political structures. The party emphasized that Kosovo’s municipal institutions should not serve as a cover for parallel political activities.
