Shashwat Kamat joins Wolverhampton Wanderers as performance analyst

Shashwat Kamat, a football performance analyst from Goa, India, has joined the Wolverhampton Wanderers as a Performance Analyst at the club’s Category 1 Academy.

Kamat’s career path includes previous roles at FC Goa and Queens Park Rangers. Reflecting on his journey, Kamat noted the significant differences between the English and Indian football development systems. He highlighted that English academies provide rigorous monitoring of player progress and comprehensive support, including mental wellbeing and psychological care, which he suggested is lacking in the Indian grassroots structure.
