Shatta Wale claims ShattaFest UK organisers have ignored him after cancellation

Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has accused the organisers of ShattaFest UK of being disrespectful following the cancellation of the event. The musician stated that despite his team’s attempts to reach the organisers, no one has contacted him to discuss the situation.

Shatta Wale explained that the festival was his own show, produced in partnership with Akwaba UK to transform the annual Party in the Park into a dedicated experience for the Shatta Movement. He noted that concerns had been raised regarding the management and promotion of the event, and he had previously warned his team about potential security issues.

The artist, who was minutes away from the venue when he learned of the cancellation, indicated that his lawyers may pursue the organisers regarding an unresolved financial agreement. The partnership was intended to involve a revenue-sharing model based on ticket sales, and the financial implications of the cancelled show remain unsettled.
