Shatta Wale explains his ‘Shattanomy’ relationships and recounts past homelessness

Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale said he prefers the term “Shattanomy” to describe his life with two partners, rejecting the label polygamy. He told listeners that the trio pray together after intimate moments and even stand naked in the rain to pray when it rains.

He also recalled a period after leaving home at 17 when, despite being known as the performer Bandana, he lived on the streets, struggled with hunger and slept wherever he could, including at a girlfriend’s family home. He noted that limited revenue options for musicians at the time made it hard to turn fame into financial stability.
