Shatta Wale faces defamation threat and upcoming entrepreneurship speaking engagement
Ghanaian dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., known as Shatta Wale, is facing two distinct developments regarding his public profile.
Legal representatives from Porta Legis Consultancy have threatened legal action against social media personality Priscilla Kyeremaa, known as Prisywan. The dispute follows a TikTok video in which Kyeremaa suggested the musician prioritize his mental health and labeled him a “confused artiste.” Shatta Wale’s lawyers characterized these remarks as “false, malicious, reckless and seriously injurious” to his reputation and career, alleging the comments were intended to ridicule him following a recent interview.
Separately, Shatta Wale is scheduled to headline the UPSA 1000 & Ghana Entrepreneurship Conference 2026. On September 16, the musician will speak at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, to discuss entrepreneurship, creativity, and brand building. The session aims to provide students with insights into leveraging digital platforms and social media to transform creative talents into sustainable business ventures.
