Shatta Wale involved in vehicle incident and entrepreneurship speech

Ghanaian dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., known as Shatta Wale, was involved in two distinct public events in Accra in September 2026.

On September 14, a vehicle Shatta Wale was traveling in struck several fans outside the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel. The incident occurred as a crowd gathered near the hotel entrance following the launch of the ‘A Ga Adamgbe Scholarship Fund’. While footage of the incident circulated on social media, no deaths were reported.

On September 16, Shatta Wale spoke at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) during the Ghana Entrepreneurship Conference 2026. He encouraged students to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, emphasizing resilience, discipline, and the importance of leveraging digital platforms to build global brands.
