Shaun Doss joins Kecskemét as third foreign player

Duna Aszfalt-DTKH Kecskemét has officially announced its third foreign player, American basketball player Shaun Doss. The 27-year-old, 195 cm tall athlete successfully passed his medical examinations on Monday.

Doss is no stranger to the Hungarian league, having previously played for Oroszlány, though his season was interrupted by an unexpected injury. His professional background includes playing for the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions and SIU-Edwardsville Cougars in the NCAA. In Europe, he demonstrated strong performance with Starwings Regio Basel in Switzerland, averaging 20.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game during the 2024–25 season. He also played for KTP Kotka in Finland.

Technical Director Sztojan Ivkovics stated that the club sought a player with high value-for-money who fits their system. Doss expressed his enthusiasm for returning to Hungary and his readiness to contribute to the team and its supporters.
