Shaun Wright-Phillips faces early exit risk on Strictly Come Dancing

Former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips is facing a potential early exit from the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing 2026 series. Following his debut performance, where he and professional partner Alexis Warr earned a score of 15 for a Cha-Cha, Wright-Phillips placed joint bottom of the leaderboard alongside pairs Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon, and Melanie Walters and Aljaz Skorjanec.

Bookmakers have identified Wright-Phillips as the odds-on favorite to be the first contestant eliminated from the competition. Betting data suggests he is currently the most likely celebrity to be sent home this weekend. To avoid elimination, Wright-Phillips and Warr are scheduled to perform a Salsa to ‘You Should Be Dancing’ from Saturday Night Fever.
