Shaunae Miller-Uibo named ambassador for Delhi Half Marathon 2026

Two-time Olympic champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo has been named the international event ambassador for the 2026 Delhi Half Marathon. The Bahamian sprinting icon is scheduled to participate in the 21st edition of the race, which will take place on October 18 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Miller-Uibo, a specialist in the 400m, holds gold medals from the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympics. During the Tokyo Games, she set a North American record with a time of 48.36 seconds, becoming only the second woman to successfully defend an Olympic 400m title. Her career achievements also include a 2022 World Championship title and multiple medals at the World Championships and Commonwealth Games.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the visit, Miller-Uibo noted that the event is more than just a race, highlighting the community connection of the Delhi Half Marathon and its ability to bring together people of diverse backgrounds through the joy of running.
