Shavkat Rakhmonov cleared medically for UFC comeback

Physician Mikhail Markuart has confirmed that there are no longer any medical reasons preventing Kazakh welterweight Shavkat Rakhmonov from competing in the UFC.

Rakhmonov previously underwent surgery for a partial ACL tear and meniscus injury, later re‑injuring the same knee and being removed from the welterweight rankings. His return now depends on the work of his strength and conditioning coaches and the UFC’s schedule, with the doctor expecting he could be back in the Octagon early next year.
