Shawn Langdon wins 72nd annual NHRA U.S. Nationals

NHRA U.S. Nationals drag racing Shawn Langdon Top Fuel Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park

Shawn Langdon secured his third U.S. Nationals victory at the 72nd annual Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals held at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Driving a 12,000-horsepower SealMaster dragster for Kalitta Motorsports, Langdon recorded a time of 3.804 seconds at 333.99 mph to defeat Tony Stewart in the final round.

Other major winners during the 14th race of the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series included Jack Beckman in the Funny Car category, Dallas Glenn in Pro Stock, and Matt Smith in Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Langdon’s performance marks his 27th career win, positioning him second in points as he enters the Countdown to the Championship playoffs. The victory also marks a milestone for crew chief Brian Husen, earning his first Indy win.
