Canadian singer Shawn Mendes has been spotted in Rio de Janeiro as he begins work on his upcoming album. Mendes has established a studio in Brazil to facilitate his creative process, stating in an interview with Esquire that he believes the new project will be “something very special.”

During his time in the city, Mendes was seen walking through the São Conrado neighborhood in the rain, a moment captured by fans on social media. He has also been seen in the Gávea district alongside his partner, Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine. The couple, who officially confirmed their relationship in August, have been frequently photographed together in Brazil and the United States.
