GNTM 7 auditions feature emotional contestant stories

The seventh season of the fashion reality competition GNTM has commenced with a series of notable auditions in Greece. The new season features a judging panel including Angelos Bratis, Betty Maggira, Iliana Papageorgiou, Lakis Gavalas, and Genevieve Mazari.

Several contestants have drawn significant attention through personal stories and dramatic moments. Shayan, a 23-year-old from Iran who has lived in Greece for nine years, shared his journey of fleeing his home country due to his mother's change in religion. Despite past discouragement regarding his appearance, he secured a place in the next phase.

Another contestant, 20-year-old Stavroula, experienced an emotional audition. Following discussions regarding her silhouette and the 'light plus size' category, she became tearful while discussing personal struggles during a period spent in Turkey. She ultimately received enough positive votes to advance to the bootcamp.

Additionally, a 28-year-old contestant with roots in Brooklyn and Crete, who previously served in the US military, impressed the judges with his stage presence and unique background, earning a spot in the competition despite differing opinions among the judges regarding his modeling suitability.
