Irish wrestler Stephen Farrelly, known as Sheamus, left WWE in July 2026 after his contract expired. He turned down a restructured extension and was moved to the promotion’s alumni page. Sources close to the former champion say he would welcome a short‑term stint in All Elite Wrestling, potentially reuniting with former tag‑partner Claudio Castagnoli. WWE Hall‑of‑Famer Booker T commented that long tenures end and athletes move on, noting Sheamus’s near‑50‑year‑old age and prior planning for retirement.

The wrestler’s future remains unconfirmed, but AEW is repeatedly cited as the most likely next destination.
