Sheamus reportedly TNA's first choice for Bound For Glory debut

TNA Wrestling reportedly considered former WWE champion Sheamus as the surprise opponent for Moose’s open challenge at the Bound For Glory event on October 11. Sheamus, whose real name is Stephen Farrelly, recently became a free agent after his contract with WWE expired following a nearly twenty-year tenure.

Max Caster ultimately answered the challenge, marking his debut for the promotion following his departure from AEW. While Moose won the match, Caster’s debut has been overshadowed by controversy regarding his entrance rap. The rap included references to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and “bombs,” which reportedly drew dissatisfaction from TNA executives due to recent tensions involving King Khalid International Airport. The incident has led to uncertainty regarding Caster’s future with the company.
