Sheffield Hallam University signs three academic partnerships in India
Sheffield Hallam University has signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Indian higher education institutions to enhance academic collaboration, research, and student mobility. The agreements were finalized during the university’s participation in the Great North trade mission to India.
The new partnerships involve the International Institute of Sports & Management (IISM) in Mumbai, Somaiya Vidyavihar University in Mumbai, and the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) in Hyderabad. The university also renewed its existing MoU with IFHE.
These collaborations aim to facilitate joint research, staff and student exchanges, program development, and knowledge exchange. Specifically, the Sheffield Business School will work with its Indian counterparts to explore study-abroad opportunities, virtual engagement, and summer schools. These moves follow the implementation of the UK–India Free Trade Agreement in July 2026, aimed at deepening economic and educational ties between the two nations.
