Sheggz denies financial dependency claims regarding ex-girlfriend Bella Okagbue
Former Big Brother Naija star Segun Olusemo, known as Sheggz, has publicly rejected allegations that he was financially dependent on his former partner, Bella Okagbue. Addressing claims that he acted as a ‘gigolo,’ Sheggz stated that he and Okagbue shared expenses on a 70-30 basis in his favor.
To counter claims of financial instability, Sheggz asserted that he owns properties in both London and Banana Island, Lagos. He further claimed that during their relationship, he provided Okagbue with cars and a high standard of living.
The dispute follows the couple's split in January 2026 and has involved legal friction, including a defamation notice from Sheggz and counterclaims from Okagbue’s legal team. Okagbue’s representatives allege that Sheggz obtained loans from her through false pretenses. Additionally, fellow reality star Phyna has alleged that Okagbue funded Sheggz’s lifestyle and that he owes her between ₦11 million and ₦30 million.
