Sheggz Olusemo and Bella Okagbue engage in legal dispute

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Segun ‘Sheggz’ Olusemo and his ex-partner Bella Okagbue are engaged in a legal dispute involving allegations of defamation and deceit. Olusemo recently filed a defamation lawsuit against Okagbue following her public claims that he owes her money. In response, Okagbue’s legal team has dismissed the lawsuit as ‘spurious and baseless,’ asserting that her social media comments were expressions of her genuine experiences.

Okagbue’s lawyers have leveled counter-allegations, claiming Olusemo breached a promise to marry her and misrepresented his intentions. They further alleged that he obtained several loans from Okagbue under false pretences and stated they intend to pursue the matter in court. Additionally, her legal team accused a member of Olusemo’s legal team of making unsolicited contact through messages and calls at irregular hours.

Olusemo, who recently returned to London, has previously clarified that his relationship with Okagbue ended in January 2026 and denied allegations of infidelity. He maintained that the couple shared mutual respect during their time together.
