Shehbaz Sharif deposits 1kg gold gift in Toshakhana

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has deposited more than three dozen official gifts into the Toshakhana, the government’s official repository for valuables received by public officials. Among the items is one kilogram of fine gold, which was presented to the Prime Minister during an official visit to Kyrgyzstan between August 31 and September 2, 2026.

The gold was deposited on September 8, according to records released by the Cabinet Division covering the period from July to September. Other items received by the Prime Minister include handmade silk and wool carpets, ceremonial vases, decorative plates, calligraphy, paintings, and various traditional souvenirs such as oud perfumes, olive oil, and a Kyrgyz-style blanket.

Other high-ranking officials also submitted gifts during this period. President Asif Ali Zardari deposited seven items, including an archery set and a musical instrument, while Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and several federal ministers also filed their official gifts with the Cabinet Division.
