Shehbaz Sharif inaugurates Daanish School in Islamabad

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has inaugurated a new Daanish School in Islamabad, an initiative aimed at bridging the educational gap between wealthy and underprivileged families. The school is situated on 30 acres and features separate academic blocks for boys and girls, equipped with 24 classrooms per block, science and robotics laboratories, IT facilities, an e-library, and an art room.

Currently, 360 meritorious students from various regions have been admitted on a 100% merit basis, with classes running from the sixth to the eighth grades. The school employs 38 teachers, with plans to increase staff as needed.

During the ceremony, the Prime Minister emphasized that financial constraints should not prevent talented children from accessing quality education. He announced that the Daanish Schools network is being expanded nationwide, with 27 additional schools currently under construction. He highlighted success stories, such as Dr. Alina from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to illustrate how the program empowers students from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach elite institutions.
