Shehbaz Sharif meets AJK Prime Minister Syed Iftikhar Ali Gilani

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Syed Iftikhar Ali Gilani, in Islamabad. During the meeting, Sharif assured the federal government’s full cooperation regarding the welfare and well-being of the AJK population.

The leaders discussed regional peace, development, and ongoing welfare projects. Sharif reaffirmed that the federal government would continue to take measures to support the prosperity of the region.

In a separate meeting, a delegation including retired Deputy Inspector General of AJK Police Raja Irfan Saleem and former Mirpur City Administrator Ghulam Yasin Chaudhry also met with Prime Minister Gilani. The delegation expressed hope that Gilani would utilize his political acumen to strengthen state institutions and address public grievances through governance reforms and improved administrative mechanisms.
