Sheikh Hamdan visits Aster Pharmacy distribution centre in Dubai

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Deputy Prime Minister, visited the Aster Pharmacy distribution centre located in Dubai Industrial City. The 145,000 sq. ft. facility is recognized as one of the largest pharmaceutical warehouses in the region.

During the visit, the Crown Prince emphasized the vital role of the private sector in developing a reliable healthcare system and highlighted the necessity of cooperation between public and private entities to meet community needs for medical supplies. He commended the facility’s use of innovative solutions to improve distribution speed and accuracy.

Aster DM Healthcare leadership, including Founder and Chairman Dr. Azad Moopen and Group CEO Alisha Moopen, briefed the Crown Prince on the facility’s operations. The center supports Aster’s network, which manages approximately 75,000 transactions daily across 350 pharmacies, 120 medical clinics, and 15 hospitals throughout the UAE and the GCC.
