Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Award opens registration

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has launched registration for the fifth cycle of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award, covering the 2026-2027 period. The program features approximately AED 10 million in total prizes distributed across 13 main categories.

This new cycle introduces two specific categories: ‘Best Supporting Marketing Outlet’ and ‘Agricultural Impact Maker’. The marketing category was created to address challenges faced by local producers in finding outlets for their goods, aiming to encourage sales points to adopt local products. The ‘Agricultural Impact Maker’ category recognizes farmers and breeders who mentor others and share successful practices within the community.

The fifth cycle also includes an increase in accompanying competitions, rising to 97 from 77 in the previous cycle. The award aims to foster innovation in plant and animal production while strengthening the national food security system in the UAE.
