Sheikh Saidul Haque arrested at Delhi airport in fake doctor case
Sheikh Saidul Haque, an individual accused of posing as a doctor, has been arrested at Delhi airport following the death of a four-year-old child in West Bengal. The incident occurred in the Nawabhat area of East Burdwan district, where Haque allegedly performed a surgical procedure that resulted in the child's death.
Haque had been absconding since the incident and reportedly fled to Dubai. Following a complaint from the child's family, police issued a lookout notice, leading to his arrest by Delhi police on Tuesday night upon his return to India. He has since been transported to Kolkata and is being taken to the Burdwan police station for questioning.
Authorities are investigating Haque's medical qualifications and other potential allegations. The Association of Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes has expressed support for the arrest and is calling for the apprehension of other individuals identified in connection with the case.
