Sheinbaum administration faces criticism over economic and security claims

Criticism has been leveled against the administration of Claudia Sheinbaum following her recent report on government achievements. Opponents characterize the administration's claims of success as deceptive and triumphalist, arguing that they mask significant national issues.

Specific allegations include the mismanagement of public funds and the role of Elpigmeo Ibarra, owner of Argos Comunicación. It is claimed that Ibarra owes the Mexican treasury approximately 150 million pesos, stemming from a Bancomext loan granted in 2020 that has reportedly not been repaid.

The critique further highlights severe socio-economic and security challenges facing the country, including high rates of homicide and disappearances, a collapsed healthcare system, and economic stagnation.
