Shelbie Cox renovates Tudor-style living room in New Jersey

Designer Shelbie Cox recently completed a living room renovation for a Tudor-style home in New Jersey. The project focused on addressing issues with furniture scale after the homeowners moved from Texas, where their oversized leather sectional was better suited to a larger square footage.

To create a more functional and airy floor plan, Cox replaced much of the existing furniture to ensure easier movement through the narrow space. The redesign included painting the walls with Benjamin Moore’s White Dove to add warmth and replacing the ceiling light with a Noguchi Akari lantern.
