Sheldon Haudenschild and Ricky Thornton Jr secure major dirt track victories

Sheldon Haudenschild secured a victory at Sharon Speedway during the finale of the NOS Energy Drink Buckeye Brawl. After starting 10th in the 30-lap event, Haudenschild moved through the field to overtake Logan Schuchart for the win, finishing with a nearly three-second margin. This victory marks Haudenschild’s 57th career win and his 11th of the 2026 season.

At Eldora Speedway, Ricky Thornton Jr achieved back-to-back wins during The Clash on the Wabash. On the first night of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event, Thornton Jr overcame a late-race caution to pass Brandon Sheppard for the victory. He repeated the feat the following night in the $50,000-to-win finale, navigating through a battle with Devin Moran and Josh Rice to claim his second consecutive win at the track.
