Shell Eco-marathon Brasil celebrates 10 years at Pier Mauá

The tenth edition of the Shell Eco-marathon Brasil is scheduled to take place from August 25 to 27, 2026, at Pier Mauá in Rio de Janeiro. The event will host more than 50 teams composed of university and school students from five countries: Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru.

As a major academic competition focused on energy efficiency, the challenge requires participants to design and build vehicles capable of traveling the maximum distance using minimal energy. The competition features prototypes and urban vehicles powered by gasoline, electricity, and hydrogen. The event serves as a practical application of engineering, electronics, and materials science, bridging the gap between theoretical classroom knowledge and professional research and development environments.
