Shell to sell French fuel station network to DCC Energy

Shell has reached an agreement to sell approximately 70 fuel stations and eight LNG units in France to Dublin-based DCC Energy. The transaction, the financial value of which has not been disclosed, is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2027, pending consultations with employee representatives.

Under the proposed terms, DCC Energy will continue to operate the stations under the Shell brand through a long-term licensing agreement. However, Shell's fuel supply business is excluded from the deal, meaning DCC Energy will take over independent fuel procurement. The sale also involves the transfer of 35 employees.

This move aligns with Shell's strategy to concentrate its retail fuel and electric vehicle charging operations in core markets, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, which generate the majority of its cash flows.
