Shelley Fabares death details reveal acute respiratory distress

Actress Shelley Fabares died on August 22 at the age of 82 in Los Angeles. According to a death certificate obtained by People, her immediate cause of death was acute respiratory distress.

The document also lists pneumonia as a contributing factor, noting that Fabares had been diagnosed with the respiratory infection weeks prior to her passing. No autopsy was performed, and she was cremated on August 28.

In a statement, her family described her as a source of love, strength, and laughter, noting her talent and intelligence as an actress. Fabares was well known for her roles in ‘The Donna Reed Show’, ‘Coach’, and ‘One Day at a Time’, as well as her music career.
