Shemar Stewart identified as trade target for NFL teams

NFL teams are reportedly tracking Cincinnati Bengals edge rusher Shemar Stewart ahead of the November 10 trade deadline. The 22-year-old, who was selected 17th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, has struggled to secure a consistent role in the Bengals' defensive rotation.

Stewart has seen limited playing time this season, logging only 17 defensive snaps. His production has been hampered by injuries, including a hyperextended knee, and a slow start to his professional career following a contract standoff during his rookie year. Despite his limited impact, reports suggest his high upside makes him a person of interest for teams looking to bolster their defensive lines.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has noted Stewart's positive attitude and effort, mentioning that the team intends to involve him more as he continues to practice. However, he currently trails other defensive ends like Cedric Johnson and rookie Cashius Howell in usage.
