Shen Yu-lin reflects on life and impermanence after illness

Taiwanese entertainer Shen Yu-lin recently appeared on the variety show ‘WTO Sisters Club’ to share personal reflections following a period of serious illness. During the program, Shen remarked that while people often view themselves as the producers of their own lives, his experience with hospitalization taught him that ‘impermanence is actually the director behind the scenes.’

Shen also shared humorous anecdotes about his domestic life, describing himself as a ‘servant’ at home. He recounted a chaotic incident involving a clogged toilet caused by water-soluble cat litter, which resulted in a messy cleanup. Additionally, he expressed gratitude toward a local convenience store clerk who recognized his routine of buying milk for his daughter, helping him avoid a mistake during a time when he was unwell.
