ShengShu Technology launches Vidu Q4 Preview video model

ShengShu Technology has released the Vidu Q4 Preview, a new flagship video generation model designed for high-volume creators in advertising, social media, and short drama production. The model supports video outputs ranging from 540p up to 4K with 10-bit color depth, and can generate single clips up to 16 seconds long.

Key technical features include the ability to use up to 15 reference images to maintain visual consistency for characters, scenes, and props, as well as up to three reference audio clips to ensure steady character voices across different shots. The preview currently supports two primary workflows: image-to-video and reference-based video generation. It does not yet support standalone text-to-video prompts.

To encourage adoption, ShengShu is offering a launch promotion starting at RMB 0.09 per second. This pricing is significantly lower than the typical Chinese market rate of RMB 0.5 to RMB 3 per second, aiming to lower the barrier for creators to experiment with different scripts and camera movements.
