Shenmue III Enhanced delayed to early 2027
Publisher ININ Games and developer YS NET have officially announced that Shenmue III Enhanced has been delayed. Originally expected to launch in late 2026, the enhanced version of the third installment in the Sega series is now scheduled for release in early 2027.
In a communication to fans, the developers stated that while development is progressing positively, additional time is required to fine-tune details and ensure the best possible experience on modern platforms. No specific technical issues or production difficulties were reported.
Developed by YS NET, the Enhanced edition aims to improve upon the 2019 original with technical upgrades including enhanced graphics, texture definition, and support for DLSS and FSR. Gameplay modifications include increased NPC density, an optional classic camera mode, and adjustments to stamina, health management, and Quick Time Events. The title is expected to debut on Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2.
