Shenzhen company gains attention for allowing employees to bring infants to work

A small company in Shenzhen, China, has gained viral attention for its flexible policy allowing employees on maternity leave to bring their infants to the office. Graphic designer Ren Biying, a mother of two, shared her experience of working on AI video projects while caring for her two-month-old daughter, An An, at her desk.

Ren, who is the primary breadwinner for her family, sought additional income to cover rising costs such as rent and education. The company owner, Zhang Xuena, offered Ren the option to work on a per-product basis, allowing her to earn extra money while remaining home to breastfeed. The office environment relies on informal support from colleagues who assist with childcare during busy periods.
