Shenzhou-23 crew completes nearly three months in space station

The Shenzhou-23 crew, including astronauts Zhu Yangzhu, Zhang Zhiyuan, and Li Jiaying, has been stationed in the space station for nearly three months. According to a recent update from the China Manned Space Agency, the crew has been actively conducting space science experiments, platform maintenance, and health management tasks.

Key scientific activities included replacing experimental samples in the online maintenance and adjustment operation cabinet, cleaning and replacing samples in the containerless cabinet, and performing maintenance on electrode mechanisms and window covers. The crew also managed gas cylinders and vacuum exhaust processes within the combustion science experimental cabinet.

To maintain the space station environment, the crew performed microbial monitoring by sampling gases, surfaces, and water systems to assess microbial growth. For health management, the astronauts completed vision function measurements and non-invasive cardiac function checks. They continue to perform regular exercise and use bone loss countermeasure equipment to mitigate the physiological effects of microgravity.
